Graphic design used to be a service almost exclusively provided by professionals. But with not many materials available on the internet, many are getting into graphic design at home to aid their business or just as a hobby! Graphic design is a skill that takes time to master, but if you’re looking to get your foot in the door of graphic design then you’re in luck, because plenty of software packages exist to help you! Welcome to our list of top graphic design software’s for beginners:
Lucid Press
Kicking off the list we have Lucid Press. Lucid Press is a graphic designing app with a simple user interface that gives you the chance to create branding content extremely quickly and easily by using the built-in drag and drop editor. You can also use their predesigned templates, allowing you to start on a firm design base and to adjust to fit the theme to your unique needs. Lucid Press is a great app for beginners because of its easy interface and their lockable brand template system, which makes for an easy start for beginners trying to make their own content. Lucid Press basic is completely free, but to get everything it has to offer, you can buy the pro subscription for only £8 a month!
Canva
Next we have Canva. Having used Canva personally, I can say from my own experience that Canva is a great app! It is very simple and easy to use, but also comes with some more advanced design options, which means it’s great improving your skills whilst learning and developing your design. You can get Canva pro for you and four others for just £10.99 a month, which includes over 250,000 templates, over 100 design types, hundreds of thousands of free images, and much more! Canva gives the user complete freedom and allowed room for development in your skills while you design. £10.99 a month is slightly above Lucid Press but comes with access for up to five people! With Canva, you definitely get what you pay for.
Gravit Designer
Finishing our list for today is Gravit Designer, a HTML graphic design-based software that works on any platform, making it very flexible. It has powerful graphic creation and manipulation capabilities. This software is the most advanced on our list, so we would suggest starting out on one of the other two first, then migrating to Gravit once your skills are a little more advanced! But for only £49 for an annual subscription, this is the cheapest software on our list and is incredible value. Gravit is ama
zing for designing on the go, and with their pro plan, you can also design when you are offline! This is a great software does have a slightly steeper learning curve, but should still be fine for beginners once the basics have been established!
